What Simca is
A point of sale and business manager for small businesses, designed to run on the devices you already own, without a cloud account, and to keep selling when the internet or the power does not.
Status
Planned Everything described here is planned. No app is released. Everything on this page is a plan. The repository contains a catalog and design documents, not a released app.
In one paragraph
Simca combines sales and checkout, restaurant tools, inventory, cash-drawer control, bookkeeping, reports and a to-do list in one local database. Spanish and English are first; Peru is the first fiscal pack. Hardware is ordinary: receipt printers, scanners, drawers, scales and phones.
Three components, in build order
- Simca Packaging: the engine that assembles and signs a package from the elements you chose.
- Simca Launcher: the one download. It installs, starts and updates, and is where you pick elements.
- Simca: the app itself, containing only the elements you picked.
One product, many elements
Per ADR-0001 there are no separate roles or editions. A distributor, a bakery and a driver all use the same product with different elements ticked. Unselected elements are not compiled in, so there is no menu entry for what you did not choose.
What it covers (planned)
45 modules in categories from selling and restaurants to compliance, reliability, logistics and the launcher. See the catalog.
What it is not
- Not a payment processor and not an acquirer: cards are taken only through the phone's Tap to PayCard acceptance on a phone via NFC, through a certified payment-provider SDK. Planned as an adapter; Simca does not read or store card numbers. Glossary via a provider.
- Not a tax adviser: tax and regulation text on this site is themes to verify.
- Not for health records, core banking or plant execution; see the gap list.
